  9. DABUTIL is a collection of "system-completing" utilities. It contains the basic
  10. tools you need to manage various aspects of your computer system, all in one
  11. package! It contains file and disk management utilities, a menu utility, a
  12. printer utility. Also, be sure to check out EVENTMAN, an event and process
  13. management utility, and see what it can do. Run programs unattended at any time
  14. of day or night, and repeat them daily, weekly, monthly, or whenever! DABUTIL
  15. includes a full-screen editor called SBE (much easier to use than other text
  16. editors.) FF finds lost files, even in many types of archives!

  18.   This is Shareware software.  If you try this package and decide you like it,
  19. then please support shareware and pay the requested registration fee. Please
  20. make copies of this package for your friends and associates. You may not sell
  21. this software, or charge more than what it costs for you to copy it.

  23.   The registration requirements are given in the file DABUTIL.REG. Registration
  24. fees are due after you try this package and decide to use it on an ongoing

  39. Installation:
  40.  
  41. 1) Insert the disk with DABUTIL on it into either drive A or B.
  42.  
  43. 2) "LOG IN" to that drive with either:
  44.            A:    or
  45.            B:
  46.     and press RETURN.
  47.  
  48. 3) Enter the command DABINST and press return.
  49.  
  50. 4) Follow the instructions given to install the DABUTIL package. DABINST will
  51.    install DABUTIL in a directory named DABUTIL, which it will create if
  52.    necessary. It will also add the new directory to your path command.
  53.  
  54. 5) Re-boot your computer to activate the new PATH command in AUTOEXEC.BAT
  55.  
  56. 6) Enter the command DOSMENU to see demonstrations of each program
  57.  
  58. CAUTION:
  59.    While you can change the directory given, it is recommended that you use
  60.    DABUTIL, since any existing directory may have files with the same name as a
  61.    DABUTIL file, and they might be lost when the install is done.
